My sister, 11-12-13

Today I am thankful for my sister, Lindsey.20131108-131311.jpgWhile I may not get to see or speak to her near as much as I’d like to, we still share a close bond. We always know we are only a phone call away if we need anything. I know it’s odd, but my sister and I have NEVER ever fought. She is an amazing mama to my nephew, Joshie, and my Godson, Parker. They may live 600 miles away, but I cherish all of our time together. 20131108-131843.jpg

What a whirlwind this last week has been! Bunny experienced her first cheer competition and they did fantastic! We couldn’t be prouder of her. Ended up with our son in the ER for his first real skateboard injury in the fourteen plus years he has been skating. Have had several days of a revolving door of maintenance on our home. My very first friend in Texas, Angie, became a maw-maw today! I am still trying to figure out how that once nine year old little boy that lived next door is now married and a daddy? I am beyond happy for their sweet family and the new precious addition. On a very somber note, Pastor Fred passed away. It was so nice to see so very many people that loved him and his lovely wife there to pay their respects to such a tremendous Godly man. Miss J is a pillar of strength and faith. I admire her so much. One of my favorite memories of him was when I was pregnant for Buggie. We had still lived in Boerne, where he was a Pastor at the First United Methodist Church. I had posted on Facebook that I was being sent to the San Antonio Methodist hospital due to complications. Miss J saw my post and how he did it I don’t know, but Pastor Fred beat us to the hospital! It was so incredibly comforting to have him there to pray over our baby girl during such a scary time. He was a one of a kind man and I am so thankful to call his lovely wife my dear friend. Many prayers for her, their children, and their grandchildren during this difficult time.

Life has a way of changing so quickly. Hold on to your faith and the ones you hold dear. And always be thankful for the life you have.20131111-224656.jpg

Today I am thankful for our Veterans.

All who have selflessly signed up to put their lives on the line to protect our freedom and the far too many that have lost their lives doing so.

I am especially thankful for the ones we love…my Husband, my Dad, my Papa Joe, my Paw-Paw Kline, my Paw-Paw Freeman, my Maw-Maw Peart, Matt’s Grandpa Barthule, & Matt’s brother’s, Brian and Phil.

Daddy-o, 11-9-13

Today I am thankful for my Dad.

My Daddy-o lives back in New Orleans so we don’t get to spend as much time as we’d like to with him. He isn’t your “average” paw-paw. He’s a biker and patriot guard rider. He selflessly offers his free time to honor those who have died to protect our freedom. He is a fabulous paw-paw and never allows the miles to come between him and his grand monsters. FaceTime has tremendously helped in that department! He too gives us nothing but unconditional love & support.20131105-134654.jpg
