Tonight our growing way too fast 12 year old went to her first junior high school dance with her best friend. She even wanted me to do her hair for her and let me help her pick out her dress. I’m sure that won’t be the case in the years to come so I’ll cherish these little moments while we have them. Probably the most comical realization as we dropped the girls off was that in that same vehicle was our grandkids watching their aunt go to her first dance. Life really does change so rapidly. When the girls got home I got to see all of their pictures and videos they took. Safe to say they had a lot of fun dancing the night away!
Happy 2nd birthday to our energetic, happy, sassy, and oh so sweet granddaughter, Nina!
Today we took our children and grandchildren to see Santa at Matt’s work. They had a blast playing in fake snow there. We never imagined just a few hours later they would get to play in real snow. Our children got to help their daddy build a snow lady taller than our eight year old!
After hearing news that I so wish I could change for loved ones I can’t help but be incredibly thankful for the much needed night in with our kids, daughter in law, and grandkids and absorbing all of their laughter.
While helping my dad update his new phone with birthdates I discovered I have 40 days until my 40th birthday. While some freak out over this milestone I’m oddly okay with entering this new decade of my life. How lucky am I to have such a loving & always building me up husband, four healthy & beautiful children and daughter in law, the two most adorable grandchildren in the world, the four most supportive parents & in-laws, two always at on my heels old pups, amazing family, and the best friends a lady could ask for. Honestly, life is precious and I’m for one incredibly thankful for mine.
Had four generations in our home tonight for dinner. Doesn’t get much better than that. Thankful for the precious memories our family is able to build.
Nina stayed up a little past bedtime eating a twizzler and watching her favorite movie in bed with Paw-Paw and I. Being grandparents is the bees knees!
Matt gives me a kiss & hug…
Dom: “Hey Maw-Maw, does Paw-Paw love you?”
Me: “yes baby he does”
Big handsome 4 year old smile
Today was an exciting day for our Grandbabies! Their birthday party celebrating their fourth and second (a little early) birthdays! Cupcakes, dinosaurs, and a bounce house, so much fun! Their parents did a fabulous job making their day as special as they are!
Eventful day, Matt and I volunteered for field day with Mad & Bitty. Inbetween their events had time to go have lunch with Aub. Gave my son a hair cut this evening. And a sleep over tonight with out grandbabies. I love fun filled days with our family!
Who else remembers the parachute day in PE as a kid? I got to experience it next to Mad this time!
