Budah, Nina, & The Teletubbies

When Budah was Nina’s age he was obsessed with the Teletubbies. He would burst into tears the second the credits would start rolling. I can remember us recording several tapes stopping them just before the credits so he had an endless flow of his favorite show without breaking his little heart. His 2nd birthday was even Teletubbies themed and he loved the yellow one “lala” the most. This morning I found the teletubbies on YouTube for Nina and she seems to like it too. Unfortunately for me, it was just as ridiculous as I remembered it being almost two decades ago, ha ha.

After some breakfast, watching the teletubbies, playtime, and a little shopping we went to have lunch with her Paw-Paw at work today. We love Nina & Maw-Maw Tuesdays!

Tea time!

Bitty and I started a tea set collection earlier this year while I started planning her Alice in Wonderland birthday party. We have since added a Wizard of Oz set to her collection. I also bought a miniature Wizard of Oz set to give to her for either Christmas or her 6th birthday. Some day they will all belong to her. It all began with her love for my miniature blue willow tea set that once belonged to my Maw-Maw….

Chaos & love

Life is busy. Life gets chaotic. Sometimes schedules don’t match up. Sometimes they do! This evening we got to spend time with most of our kids and grandkids and it was fantastic! Daddy & Aub went to see “It” while I took Mad & Bitty to see a movie that nightmares aren’t made of (ha ha)”Leap” at the theatre. Then we were able to meet up with our DIL and grandbabies for dinner! Budah was at band practice and didn’t make it, but it was pretty close to having us all there so I’m calling it a win! I love this family that I am so blessed to call mine!

Dance 2017-2018!

Posted on

Very busy first day back to dance classes, and the first year for all three of our girls to dance! Can I just say how much I adore their dance teacher! She pulled me aside earlier this evening and asked me to bring Mad back after Aub’s class so she could talk to her. She had pages printed out of various costume ideas for the dance recital to feel her out on what she would and wouldn’t be comfortable wearing, since she is aware Mad had originally dropped dancing after one year because she wasn’t comfortable in the “girl” costumes. The fact that this sweet lady took that extra step for our 8 year old to fully be comfortable and be able to happily enjoy dancing again is the sweetest gift she could have given our unique kiddo! She was beaming and absolutely loved her first day back to dance! No pink, no tutus, & no bows for Mad…unless it happens to be a bow tie:)

Aub, 12 years old, 5th year of ballet, tap, jazz, & lyrical.

Mad, 8 years old, 2nd year of ballet, tap, & jazz.

Bitty, 5 years old, 2nd year old ballet, tap, & jazz.

We are so excited to see all three of our littles dance on the same stage this year!
