Our monsters are blessed beyond measure with fabulous Grandparents! I am so thankful for the endless love & support they always give them. Maw-Maw lives with us and gets to shower them with love daily. Grandma & Grandpa are close by in San Antonio and love spending time with these crazy kiddos. Paw-Paw lives back home in New Orleans, yet still manages to have an amazing bond with them and loves every single visit he gets to have with his grands! He talks to them by phone or FaceTime every single day no matter how crazy life gets. And somehow manages to never allow the miles to come between him and these monsters come Christmas & birthdays.It’s days like this that remind me of the amazing bond I shared with my Maw-Maw, Granny, & two Paw-Paws growing up in Da Parish. I was extremely close to all of them. They never missed a beat in showing me unconditional love and support the way Matt’s parents & my mom and dad do with our monsters. I cherish all of the special memories I have of them and love sharing stories of my childhood with my monsters about their Great Grandparents.

Budah was lucky enough to meet my Maw-Maw Freeman & Paw-Paw Kline before they passed away. And our three oldest monsters were able to get to know Matt’s Grandpa Barthule before he passed a month before I gave birth to Bitty. I enjoyed the bond I shared with him. He always reminded me so much of my Paw-Paw. We were lucky enough to live right around the corner from him during his last few years with us.

I am so thankful our little monsters get to create the same kind of memories with their grands that I shared with mine. Happy Granparent’s Day Mom, Dad, Susie, & Dave! We love you guys!
